Movie Preview - X-men: Days of Future Past

When Marvel gets on a roll, they get on a roll! The X-men franchise has been one of the most successful superhero movies of all time, beginning with an original trilogy of movies and spawning a sequel and prequel for Wolverine (I'll let you guess which one is better), and a successful prequel, X-men: First Class. Once news spread about a sequel for First Class, all the fans were excited to see the direction this prequel series would go to connect with the original movies. But then news started to spread about the return of Bryan Singer...along with some of our favorites from the original X-men movies.

The stars aligned to bring one of the most popular story lines in X-men history to the silver screen.

     X-Men: Days of Future Past

This sequel/follow-up movie is the seventh movie in the X-men franchise. The X-men of the original movies are fighting a war for the survival of the mutant race. They formulate a plan to join forces with their younger selves from X-men: First Class by sending Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back to the past in order to help them fight a battle in the past - to save the future.

This ensemble movie hosts a superstar list from all of the X-men franchise. Hugh Jackman playing the immortal Wolverine, James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart play Professor X and Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen play the villainous Magneto. It also stars Jennifer Lawerence, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, and Halle Berry. The audience will also be introduced to newcomers Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask, an important character in X-men history as the creator of the Sentinels and Omar Sy as Bishop, another important player in the Days of Future Past story.

This epic superhero movie is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.
